Why Cedar Needs Hockey

Cedar City is Great, but it’s Missing Out on Something Big

That something big? It’s hockey. Ever since the NHL was founded in 1917, it has become more than a sport, but a way of life.

It can be safe to say that the majority of Canadians love it, and everyone loves Canadians. So why can’t we love hockey?

What else is there to do in this town?

During the winter, having fun in a small town can be very difficult. I mean, what can I do here? Go to the store? Shovel my driveway? All the usual fun activities are limited to weather above 70 degrees.

Trip Advisor has a List of fun things you can do, but a lot of them are warm weather activities!

Hockey is a fun way to spend your free time! Sitting back and yelling at the refs, banging on the glass and cheering when a fight breaks out is the best thing since sliced bread!

It’s not your grandma’s sport either.

You can take your whole family out to a hockey game, the kids will love watching people skate, and you and the wife can watch all the Exciting fights while trying to cover your children’s eyes.

My warning for Cedar is to not give up on hockey. Expand a little bit.
